Happy Monday babes! I hope you all had the best weekend! If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that I spent the weekend in St George for my birthday. We had the BEST time! The weather was so beautiful there and the resort we stayed at, The Inn at Entrada, was beyond stunning! I could not have asked for a better birthday!
Today, I want to talk about Valentine’s Day ideas! The big day is just around the corner so it’s definitely time to start planning. When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I’ll be honest, it’s really not my favorite holiday…am I crazy? I’m really just not a huge fan of crowds or waiting two hours for a dinner reservation. But I do love having a day dedicated to treating my husband extra special and enjoying a romantic day together.
My favorite thing to do is lay out tons of candles and maybe even some rose petals, and enjoy a night in together watching movies and eating pizza and chocolate. I really treasure the time my husband and I can enjoy together even if we are just at home talking about our future together or watching Netflix on the couch. It’s the best thing in the world to me. Anyone else with me?
Setting up a romantic night in is extremely easy and inexpensive. My favorite candles to have around the house are Chesapeake Bay Candles. They currently have a special scent for Valentine’s Day called Love + Passion and it is AMAZING! The scent is very subtle with notes of orange, peach, mango, and vanilla. It is divine! Plus, it’s husband approved!
Here are a few other great ideas for adding to your romantic night in:
- Rose petals laid over your coffee table or bed
- Champagne or sparkling soda
- A box of your favorite chocolates
- Twinkling lights draped over your windows
- A vase with fresh flowers
I hope you guys have a wonderful week! xo
